It's A Boy Baby Shower Cake! FIRST PLACE WINNER!!!

This two-tiered baby shower cake took first place in a baby shower cake decorating contest. It is topped with hand crafted gumpaste baby shoes that I made especially to match a picture of baby shoes on the shower invitation. The cake is accented with fondant diamonds, pearls dusted with blue shimmer dust, roses, and both the top plaque and the cake drum are covered with rolled fondant.  The mom to be chose all the colors to match the invite perfectly.


Beautiful Mother's Day Watering Can Cake

This watering can was made just for Mother's Day. The yellow and purple tulips are sculpted by hand using a sugar dough called gumpaste as well as the spout and handles.  The squiggles, pearls, and the "stone" ground board are made from an icing called fondant.  The cake inside is a delicious moist Red Velvet with a pecan cream cheese filling.


Topsy Turvy 4th Cake!

This 4th of July cake was made for someone special having their birthday on the same day. Lemon Chiffon cake filled with meringue buttercream, lemon curd, chambord and raspberries.  All accents are made with both fondant and gumpaste.  Everything is edible.


Bridal Shower

This cake is based off of a Wilton design that I actually made a few years back and have since seen so many beautiful recreations from many decorators.  It is a 16 inch round 2-layer carrot cake with mini life-like dresses atop.  The dresses are also cake.  The hangers, floral bouquet, bows and all accessories are all made of gumpaste.  Everything you see is edible. Groom's Cake. Tuxedo Cake for the Groom!

This unique groom's cake tastes as good as it looks! Raspberry bavarian cream alternated with chocolate whipped ganache are the fillings sandwiched between two layers of chocolate chiffon cake.  The cake itself is covered in chocolate fondant and all accents are fondant as well.  The boutonniere was hand crafted using gumpaste and the cake drum is covered with orange fondant made to look like satin fabric.  The bowtie and buttons are outlined with a fine edible  14k gold dust.



50th Anniversary Cake

This two tier Golden Anniversary cake is made up of a light lemon sponge cake with lemon curd /raspberry chambord and meringue filling.  Every single rose is hand sculpted using a hardened sugar dough called "gumpaste".  It hardens like plaster leaving one to cherish them as favors for years to come.  The top heart plaque is hand sculpted as well and painted with edible gold.  All other accents, including the wedding bands on the plaque are sculpted using edible gold, gumpaste and fondant.  A light and fresh meringue buttercream icing was used to ice this cake as well as the heart and swirl piping that you see.  The drum base board is covered in a sheet of matching fondant and adorned with a golden ribbon.

3-Tiered baby shower cake iced in swiss meringue buttercream created to match an invitation that was given to me to work with.  The fondant bow and the baby stroller novelty piece tag are hand crafted, and hand painted with edible mediums.  Everything is completely edible and the baby stroller keepsake can be cherished for years to come if kept in a cool dry place.

Very refreshing for summertime, this white sponge cake is filled with lemon curd buttercream and topped with a light swiss meringue buttercream.


Chocolate Cake Galore!

Chocolate Devil's Food cake soaked with raspberry chambord with alternating layers of rich Chocolate Mousse with raspberries and Whipped Cream.  The Cake is iced with poured Chocolate Ganache and piped with an alternating chocolate mousse and Whipped Cream border.  Hand made Chocolate Fans adorn the top and sides and berries add that nice touch.  The top is then dusted lightly with edible gold dust.  This is a chocolate lover's dream but made for my husband!

Wedding Cake

This three-tiered wedding cake is a Kentucky Butter cake filled with a sweet cream cheese filling. The flowers surrounding the bride and groom topper are hand sculpted using a gumpaste sugar dough to match the flower bouquet that the topper bride is actually holding.
